During the autumn break, our Prowise digital school boards in Leeuwarden (Rengerslaan 8 and 10) will be upgraded to the new digital working environment in Windows 10. This means that you log on to these systems in a different way and use OneDrive or SharePoint to access your files. The most important changes are listed below.
Starting Monday 28 October, you can log into the Prowise digital boards with your NHL Stenden account. You use the password that you use to log in to your work computers and Office 365 applications. The presentation account is no longer usable on these school boards, because the use of this account without a password increases the risk of data breaches.
The first time you log into a Windows 10 Prowise board with your NHL Stenden account, the new digital environment will be configured for you. This can cause several pop-up notifications to appear for about 10 minutes.
You can recognize the updated Prowise school boards by a marker that indicates to log in with your @nhlstenden.com account. At the other digital school boards, you still log in in the same way as you always did. The school boards at our other Dutch locations will also be transferred to Windows 10 during the course of this academic year.
From Monday October 28th, you will no longer be able to access our network drives or USB drives on the Prowise boards. Do you store your files for your lectures on a departmental or personal disk, such as the M or U disk? Or do you use a USB drive? Then transfer the files you need for lectures to OneDrive or the SharePoint of your academy, department or liaison unit.
In OneDrive you have 1 Terabyte space to store your files. You can also easily share files with colleagues and students with OneDrive. You can reach your OneDrive via the steps below:
From here you can manage your personal OneDrive from all your devices. You can edit files for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office 365 applications directly from here. Want to know more about working in Office 365 applications such as OneDrive? Then visit one of the walk-in training courses. Keep an eye on the intranet for announcements.
A manual is available that provides all the instructions you need to work with the Prowise boards in Windows 10. Download the manual or read it in the classrooms where the digital whiteboards can be found.
Do you have any questions about the Prowise boards? Or do you want help working with OneDrive? Our Digicoaches are there for you. Or contact the Service Desk via firstname.lastname@example.org, 058 251 2552 or the Digicoach app.
