NHL Stenden account for all employees

In the coming period all employees of NHL Stenden who don't have an account will receive an account. Most of the employees have already received this account. All accounts are expected to be created by the end of August. 

Logging into systems and eduroam

Once your account is up and running, you can log into a number of systems with that account. For some systems, continue to log in via your or backup account. This applies, for instance, to the computers at our locations, to printing and to our intranet applications MijnNHL and iStenden.

You can use the NHL Stenden account for the following systems:

  • Office 365 (including mailbox)
  • Electronic Learning Environment (Blackboard)
  • Study Progress (Progress)
  • Schedules (Xedule)

To log into these systems, go to and select the relevant tile. If you have to decide between ‘@nhl’, ‘@stenden’ or ‘@nhlstenden’, always select @nhlstenden. You can also use your account to log into WiFi (eduroam). Do you have shortcuts to online Office 365 applications or OneDrive files? Then you may have to reconfigure them.

The new account

More information on this will be sent to your private email address before your account is created. On the day your account is being created, you can make only limited use of your mailbox and you will temporarily have no access to other systems.

Once created, your account will be your new email address. This change will not affect your mailbox and files in Office 365 and people will still be able to reach you via your old and/or email address. Furthermore, your account will enable you to log into other systems.

What does this mean for you?

When your account is ready, you will need to change a few settings. For example, your password for your NHL Stenden account, your login details on different systems and your Wi-Fi settings on your (mobile) devices. Also you will temporarily be unable to log in on various systems.

During this period, we will be ready to support you. If you face any problems, contact the Service Desk or ask for help from one of the Digicoaches. We are happy to help you.

Do you have any SurfSpot licences? Secure them!

If you still have active licences for SurfSpot programmes you should secure them as soon as possible! We advise you to do so, as a new SurfSpot environment will come into effect along with your account. Purchased products and licences cannot be transferred.
